Does Nail Polish damage your nails?

They could but not usually.but dark polishes could stain your nails and turn them yellow and also wearing nail polishes for a long period of time could cause them to discolor.I would stay away from too dark colors and I would refrain from wearing the polish for long periods of time.Does Nail Polish damage your nails?
The only bad thing that I've noticed happening from nail polish is that if you leave it on for a long period of time it can cause your nails to turn a slight yellowish color... which is not attractive and then you have to put on more nail polish to cover the yellowish color up and then you have to wear it all the time. But, it isn't damaging for short periods of time.Does Nail Polish damage your nails?
Not if you use the ones that don't contain harsh or toxic chemicals. Check the ingredients on the bottle for harmful toxins like phthlates, toluene, acetone or other harsh chemicals.

OPI has removed virtually all of it's toxic chemicals from it's nail products and some other companies use water based polishes that are completely free of toxins.

Check out the safety in cosmetics data base Skin Deep which gives a rating of 1-5 of cosmetics that were rated for toxicity.Search for the brands of nail polishes and colors for ratings to see how safe they may be. This database also works for any cosmetic, mascaras, powders, eye shadow, lip gloss, shampoos, conditioners, etc.
Yes.

Use a 3 way nail buffer/Star Nails 3 Way Shiner Block. They don't damage your nails, and they make them look healthy and shiny.

You can find them anywhere. Even at dollar stores.

Yes, if you wear it ALL the time. I heard that if you constantly wear nail polish, it can turn your nails yellow! Gross!
I think it damages your nails slightly.
