HELP!! Cleaning nail polish off an LCD tv screen 10 points to best answer!?

My 3 yr old daughter got a hold of her older sisters (Kid) nail polish and painted it on our LCD TV screen!! I called poloriod, the brand and they said that they can't suggest anything other than warm water and a touch of soap to lightly wipe the screen and that wont help with finger nail polish. They said I shouldn't use anything with harsh chemicals. 10 points to best answer promise! Thanks in advanceHELP!! Cleaning nail polish off an LCD tv screen 10 points to best answer!?
try dabbing just a little bit of nail polish wipe lightly, but have a warm soapy rag right next to you so that you can wipe it before it messes up the screen. This will work, but you have to be careful. Good luck and hope this helps!HELP!! Cleaning nail polish off an LCD tv screen 10 points to best answer!?
use oil any will do cos it softens da polish enough for ya 2 peel it off. once it softens use ya nails or a credit card to slowly peel it away. then use powder, baby powder any powder to dust of da grease from oil.
Test some alcohol in a small area to see if it helps without further harm. I wouldn't do this on the outter trim as there's likely a finish you'll remove.
I am not familiar with this type of screen, but I do know that nail polish can be coaxed off with oil and rubbing. If you have to try something, just pit some baby oil (mineral oil) on a small spot and rub it vigorously and it might come off.

Good luck!
oh boy. this happened to my friend.........

theres a few options you can try.

1. use rubbing alcohol but make sure you mix it with half water.

2. use nail polish remover and mix about 65% water in with it.

3. Windex or window cleaner should work too.

* remember to try a little corner before doing a big section.*

* dont apply too much pressure....just as much as needed.*
Try windex... it should work
I would try the warm water with soap first. If that doesn't work, try a mr clean magic eraser. (you'd be surprised at how it works.) If that doesn't work, try electronic wipes. If that doesn't work, I would try maybe warm water with a little bit of nail polish remover. AND if that doesn't work, test out the straight nail polish remover in one area and if that wrecks the screen then don't go any further and then take it and get it fixed by a professional.

that really sucks!
You can make a mixture of half isopropyl alcohol (70%) and half distilled water. Use a soft cloth like a microfiber cloth to prevent scratches.
mr clean magic eraser...you may be outta luck here thought. all though nail polsih remover would probably kill you r tv, if you have a way to re activate the wetness in the polish, such as repainting over it and wipe it off really quick it may work...
Try goo-gone 鈥撯€撯€?gt; It works on any hard surface to remove anything sticky, and it isn't a harsh chemical. You need to let in soak into the nail polish for five minutes, then rub it with a towel. And then the TV smells like orange!
Try nail polish remover but don't put so much pressure on the screen. You could also try windex, or rubbing alcohol.
I don't think you have a lot to lose at this point. Gosh, kids can make some great messes, huh?

Is it thick, or really ground in? I might be inclined to see if you could chip it off with something lightly if it isn't on there real thin. Maybe like one of those textured dish cloths. My only other thought would be an oil of some kind like baby oil, or maybe even Goof Off. Goof Off removes that type of stuff, but I'm not sure how harsh it is. I think it is mainly oil based. The oil will soften it though, maybe to the point where it will come off. Used lightly this might be OK.

If it isn't really soaked in, the water might do the trick though. It has to wear off eventually if you keep at it, right?

When you get to the point where you really have nothing to loose, the only other thing that might work in a hypoallergenic, acetone free nail polish remover.

Gosh, I feel for you. My husband would have an absolute fit, so I feel your pain. Good luck.
