Longer lasting nail polish?

My nail polish always comes off the tips of my nails pretty quickly... Which nail polishes in the UK wont do this?...As quick anyway =P Preferably under 拢5 or thereabouts and in bright colours =D

Nail varnish chipping usually occurs because:


1.) The nail polish was not applied thickly enough





2.) A base coat was not used





3.) Grease was left or is present on the nail








Applying a top coat of clear nail varnish will help protect your nail varnish from damage.

I've tried a lot of different nail varnish and most of them seem too chip very quickly on my nails, Claire's have some very bright/neon colours (they're quite good) and Max Factor (Nailfinity) Bourjois (So Laque!) No7 (Speed dry) Bourjois (1 Seconde) Revlon and GOSH are all quite good, I suggest also using a clear top coat just to prevent them chipping even more and help them last longer.
Some good brands to try are Loreal and Nicole -by opi- also, if you have target..target sells OPI, which is a very nice nail polish. Sally Hansen is one of my favorites!





but most importantly, use a good base and top coat. I use Sally Hansen double base%26amp;top coat. it works very nicely :} You apply it BEFORE you put on the color, and after. it locks it in and keeps it chip-less for up to 10 days :]





Also..to keep the color longer on the tips, try not to tap your nails or anything. this will help

I like Rimmel's stuff, especially the 60 seconds range. They come in a variety of lovely colours, and there's bright one's that I'm sure would take your fancy :)


Can't remember the exact price.. but it's under a fiver.

first, apply base coat which will prevent your nail becomes coloured, then apply two coats of nail polish ( one after another, wait till dry before apply), finally, top coat. hope that helps.

I have found that Pure Ice can go up to 2 weeks! They have some really great colors, too. Sally Hanson's nail polish is good too, they even have a special anti-chip brand.

but the biggest tip is to put clear polish under and on top of your main coat. this will work for ALL nail polish
